A. The only way you'll ever stay sane on any diet is if you give yourself some cheat time. 1 day a week or every other week. If your diet consists of 1500-1750 calories a day, 1 day of overindulgence at say 2250-2500 calories isnt going to kill your physique. In fact, a cheat day can help prevent your body from becoming tolerant of your diet and can crank up your metabolism. Remember, 1 pound = 3500 calories, 1 day of an extra 500 calories if you are eating right and exercising is negligible. If a girls day out will involve some sort of drinking, there isn't much you can do about alcohol calories. Just don't go overboard Straight liquor 1 shot : 70-80 Calories Light Beer 12 oz: 90-110 Calories Mixed Drink: High amount of variance but it… [cont.]

What do I have to worry about when changing wheels on a car?
Q. My brother's car is going to the breakers yard but as it has two new back tyres and my front ones are needing changing he said I can have them. I was just wondering if I have to worry about tracking or balancing or can I just swap the wheels over without worrying?
Asked by The Eclectic Artisan - Mon Dec 3 15:01:36 2007 - - 16 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Are yours and his wheels and tyres the same sizes? Are you going to get them removed from his wheels and fitted on yours? Are you sure his were balanced properly? Tyres aren't that expensive. And that small expense can save your life.

Q. Every time my Mom goes for a walk, every time my Mom and little brother go somehwere in the car, I have a huge anxiety and Im worrying a lot. I worry something will happen to them, would anxiety pills help?

A. You love your family and you are mature and responsible. You feel very protective of them and when they are not near you, you worry that you can't be there to help if needed. I don't know where this sense of enormous responsibility comes from. Perhaps your dad is not around and you are the man of the house? idk, but I do know you are an incredibly giving and caring person. I think your best bet would be to talk to your mom about it. Maybe she will be able to make you feel better. Communicating is always a great way to ease ones mind. Your mom maybe able to tell you reasons why you shouldn't worry so much, and you may be able to tell her why you feel so anxious. If this does not help, maybe you can speak to a counselor who could… [cont.]

A. Worry is only good if it helps us prepare or change and usually if we're busy preparing or changing we're not really worrying. Any more than that is destructive and wastful. It's very good for guys to escape with sports, hanging out, tinkering, video games as long as we come back in good time to those things that are most important to us. We shouldn't avoid things by destructive worrying. If you are struggling with life's challenges find help, its not weakness to do so. If you are seeing a destructive pattern developing there is a very powerfull tool that can help us with the imbalanced emotions behind our weaknesses. It is called emotional freedom techniques or EFT. You can find a full description and free manual at This tool is very… [cont.]

How do i get rid of the worry i feel in my stomach?
Q. My stomach hurts because of all the worries and anxieties i feel. I can tell myself to not worry but my body does not listen. I cannot concentrate with all this anxiety and pain. How can i convince my stomach to stop hurting inside?
Asked by little bear - Sat Oct 20 21:36:06 2007 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Sometimes we can cope with our stress and anxiety, and just handle it as it comes along. Then there are those times when it gets so bad that it physically hurts, and we get overwhelmed. I know your pain, and it IS very real. You're not alone. It's times like these that if a visit to the doctor is an option for you, you really should consider it. Your doctor can give you a mild sedative like xanax or ativan to help you calm down. Possibly even an antidepressant temporarily until you feel better. And you WILL feel better. There's no need for you to hurt, just know that. Take care, and feel better soon.

Why would you worry about the new health care reform and the legalization of ilegal aliens?
Q. If we legalize the 30 million illegal aliens, then we won't have to be worry about paying for their health care. If they are legalized, then they will have to pay taxes like everyone else, right?
Asked by Lola - Sat Mar 27 16:29:39 2010 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. If we were to legalize the many illegal aliens in this country, it would essentially give them the same rights as an immigrant that joined this country legally. Doing so would not change the fact that they are already here. With them already being here, and yet not having a right to be, they essentially lead to a drain on many of our systems that would have not happened if it wasn't for their illegal status. For instance, they already receive health services, but do not have insurance. Therefore, those expenses get passes on in most cases to other people. Additionally, they often do not pay many taxes while being here. This results in them being a problem for our economy in many ways. However, if they were given legal status, they… [cont.]

Should I worry if my 7-week old cockatiel has been fluffy and sleeping all day?
Q. I took my seven-week old cockatiels to a bird-store to have their wings and nails clipped for the first time. They were excited and very playful yesterday; however, since this morning the older cockatiel has been fluffy and not very active at all. When I attempted to feed him for his morning feeding, he didn't want to eat at all-but I am not sure if this was because he is in the weaning process. Also, he has been keeping his eyes closed and sleeping in his wing most of the day. Should I worry?
Asked by J. - Fri Feb 1 18:18:25 2008 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Yes, fluffing up CAN be a sign of sickness, but often after a 'groom', parrots will sulk for a day or so. It is stressful for them to be restrained, clipped, and trimmed! I would cover the cage 3/4 of the way with a towel or blanket. Direct a lamp with an incandescent bulb (the regular type of bulb) on one side of the cage to provide some warmth. You can use a regular 60W, typically. Stressed birds feel better when their environment is kept warm (NOT HOT). By putting the warmth on one side of the cage, they should be able to more away from the lamp if too hot. If they begin panting/holding out their wings, they're too warm. Move the light away from the cage a little. I bet by tomorrow, they will be back to normal. Yes, it's… [cont.]

If you already have a bachelors degree, should you worry about your credits transferring to a new college?
Q. I am planning on earning my bachelors degree at one college then moving to a new college to earn my doctoral degree. Once I achieve my Bachelors degree, should I worry if my credits will transfer, or should I not worry about previous credit and everything will start fresh? If my credits wont transfer from one school to the next would they consider my Bachelors degree nonexistent, or I dont know. Im confused. Please help.
Asked by Megan M - Sun Mar 1 22:27:20 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. your credit for a bachelor degree wont count for a doctoral degree they are lower level courses so it wont matter as far as transfer what may matter is you major and what courses you took as they are sometimes required as prerequisite for a doctoral or master program for example an English major may have trouble if the suddenly want to get their doctorate in middle eastern studies(rather than English lit) they would probably need to take some undergraduate courses in the field first before going into a masters or doctoral program

Q. Anyone have any tips or suggestions on how they dealt with this? I worry about it more than I should.
Asked by Will - Tue Sep 11 11:49:30 2007 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Spend all your mind space time on studing the people around you and choosing what you think is wonderful about them. You will be too busy to think about what they may think of you. This is a GREAT habbit to form and is acutally not difficult. The next step is to go and tell them what you have been thinking about them. They may have seen you looking at them and they are like thinking, oh, they think I am...a dork, silly, nerdish, whatever... Then you walk up to them and say, gee, I really LOVE your smile. It is FUN. Can you see where this might lead? Two rules to live by here too. One. It is none of your business what others think about you. Two. They are usually too self involved to even give you a second thought. We can get really… [cont.]

Do you believe that people who worry start a downward domino effect on society?
Q. For example: Certain people find things for someone to worry about because they might get "sued". It seems to me when this is even spoken it becomes a problem unless the observer is able to shut it out and let it go. One could use this with almost any scenario in life.

A. That's the problem. Too many people are paranoid these days. Let them deal with their own issues and ignore them. Now if you're emotionally unstable, chances are you'll be affected by them.

Whats the difference between Ocd and worry?
Q. I think I have OCD. I also worry alot about things and over analyse stuff. I never talk out problems so in away I am fairly isolated. How much of this is stress and how much is OCD? Where does worry end and OCD begin?
Asked by zed10096 - Sat Nov 14 15:41:49 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. I have OCD. You can determine it by the sheer hell it is inside your head. Worrying is normal up to a point, but if you find yourself obsessing over things over and over again no matter how much your brain knows it's irrational then that's not normal. If you have periods where you obsess over where you might be something, like "am i a murderer" "am i a pervert", things like that would obsess over your mind continuously and you would then (depending on whether you had the compulsive side of OCD or was just pure O(obsessive) ) counteract these scary thoughts with compulsions being that you'd interrogate yourself on it or you'd have a habit of doing things in even numbers or something to make you feel asif everything would be alright if you… [cont.]

How much of a worry are earthquakes in the Bay Area of California?
Q. I am considering moving to the Bay Area of California, and I know they region is criscrossed with earthquake faults. But, how much of a risk is it REALLY? Is there risk of ending up homeless after massive damage? How much do residents worry about quakes on a regular basis?
Asked by Virgin4Life666 - Mon Aug 24 23:00:35 2009 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments

A. There's not much worry. Threat of a quake doesn't consume the lives of the people that live there. You'll learn things like not to put breakable or heavy things up on shelves. Most of the structures are built to withstand pretty good size quakes and most have been through some pretty good size quakes. It's really not that big of a deal and big ones are so far and few that it really isn't worth the worry, just the vigilance.
