Soshy Information

Deborah Epstein (born September 14, 1982),[1] better known by her stage name SoShy, is a French-American singer and songwriter.

Early life

Epstein was born in Paris to a French-Argentine-Italian mother and a French-Russian father. Her childhood was split between Los Angeles and New York City.[2]

Career

Though she's been singing in clubs since the age of fifteen, SoShy began working with Lone, a French writer/producer in 2003 and from there signed a deal with Right Bank Management. Since signing, SoShy has traveled the world for her debut album, co-writing with artists including BloodShy, Sam Waters, Walter Turbitt, Mark Ronson, Cool and Dre, Steve Kipner and Estelle. She was also featured at the 2007 MUSEXPO music conference.

Epstein wrote "Strike the Match" for the ECHO Music Awards nominated German all-female pop band Monrose and "Appetite For Love" for Belgian singer Natalia. In addition, she wrote a song for the American pop / rock singer Chris Cornell on his new album "Scream. Also in 2009 she wrote the song "Elvis" for the Belgian group Leki & The Sweet Mints.

She was signed to Timbaland's Mosley Music Group/Interscope/Universal Music Group. SoShy can be heard on "Morning After Dark" along with Nelly Furtado, the first single from Timbaland's 2009 album Shock Value II.[1] Her single "Dorothy" was featured on the FIFA 10 soundtrackand her song "The Way I" was featured on the official soundtrack of FIFA 06.
