The International Court of Justice (French: Cour internationale de justice; commonly referred to as the World Court or ICJ) is the primary judicial organ of the United Nations. It is based in the Peace Palace in The Hague, Netherlands. Its main functions are to settle legal disputes submitted to it by states and to give advisory opinions on legal questions submitted to it by duly authorized international organs, agencies, and the UN General Assembly. The ICJ should not be confused with the International Criminal Court, which potentially also has global jurisdiction. From Wikipedia under the

Hello :D Answered by Auron - Mon May 31 14:48:36 2010 How to be the Chief Justice for the International Court of Justice?
Q. Our debate team's doing a simulation of ICJ and I was asked to be the chief justice. I was wondering if there were any sites that I can peruse to read over the guidelines of what I'm suppose to say at what time, or how to address each side, or simple procedural technicalities. Thanks. Asked by - Mon May 30 08:00:34 2011 - International Organizations - 1 Answers - Comments A. First study law to a very high degree and fill your free time volunteering for work in an International Organisation like the UN. You are going to have to meet as many people as you can and tell them all your ambition. With your eagerness they will pick up on it and support you. Good Luck.
