What is the difference between a 10w guitar amp and a 15w guitar amp?
Q. I don't know much about electric guitars. What would be the difference between a 10w amp and a 15w amp? Is there a big difference, or is it hard to tell a difference?
Asked by Me - Tue Sep 2 11:58:05 2008 - Other - Music - 6 Answers - Comments
A. the difference between a 10 and 15 watt solid state amp will be barely noticeable. at those wattage levels manufactures really don't put much effort in making the best amp possible. that is unless your buying a tube amp which is a whole other issue. buy the amp that you think sounds best, ignore the logo and get what sounds best. even at 10 watts with a good speaker your guitar can and will be more than loud enough. if you need it for a band situation than you'll probably need 50+ watts. bottom-line the difference in watts is for one reason to get more clean headroom. a 50 watt amp will only be a little louder than a 15 watt amp. beginning guitarists always think that bigger and louder is better. better tone is always better.

What difference would it make if i increased my box size?
Q. I have two audiobahn AW122N's with an amplifier giving each of them 400 rms. Each subwoofer has approximately 1.3 cubic feet. I want to increase the cubic feet for each sub so that each one gets 2 cubic feet. The manufacturer says that is the maximum for those subs. So what would the difference be is i increased the box size. What difference will it make on the bass and will it make a difference with how much power the subs can handle. Please give as much deatail as u can please.
Asked by Dee - Wed Dec 6 22:37:12 2006 - Car Audio - 2 Answers - Comments
A. Depending on your subwoofers, i'd keep that size. If you are running on the high end of the power range for your subwoofers, use the smallest box reccommended. If you're on the low end for the subs, use a larger box. Larger boxs are recommended for less power, however if you have alot of power in a large box, you will find that you will turn up your stereo and slam your speaker right to the chassis and make a verrryy bad sound. Been there done that, trust me. I'd stick with what you have, thats the size that i have always had for my 12s and it works great. The theory behind has to do with how easily air can be compressed. Lots more air, easier to compress, allowing more subwoofer throw with less power. Less air, less compression, better… [cont.]

A. Plantains are a member of the banana family. They are a starchy, low in sugar variety that is cooked before serving as it is unsuitable raw. It is used in many savory dishes somewhat like a potato would be used and is very popular in Western Africa and the Caribbean countries. It is usually fried or baked. It's such a versatile fruit, yet it is so misunderstood. And while most people think it looks like an ugly banana, it is really much, much more. The plantain is the only fruit that can be used at all stages of ripeness, (green, yellow and black) and it has distinct and delicious flavor at all stages. While the plantain is a fruit, it is not eaten raw like any other fruit but is treated more like a vegetable and served fried, baked,… [cont.]

What is the difference between a medical technologist and a medical technician?
Q. I know about the degree (Bachelor's and Associate) difference and salary difference, but what about the JOB difference? I am majoring in medical technology and it sometimes discourages me seeing those TV ads for 2 year schools, knowing I am going to much better school yet may still end up doing the same duties as someone who went to a crappy school.
Asked by saturnia107 - Fri Jun 20 01:49:05 2008 - Health Care - 3 Answers - Comments
A. The separation of duties between MLTs and MTs is more apparent is some departments than in others. For example, in most blood banks and microbiology labs, only the MTs will perform the higher complexity testing such as anitbody identification and culture reading. In contrast, all laboratorians generally perform the same testing in more automated departments like chemistry and hematology. Although, there are always exceptions to the rules. People may be separated by their qualifications, but sometimes aptitude has be considered and responsibilities are sometimes assigned according to ability.

What is the difference between his arm around you shoulder or your waist in a picture?
Q. Okay, So my friend and I were talking about if there was a difference in the way boys take pictures with a girl. There is the one where his arm is around her shoulder. A. Not much really. You could make an argument that having an arm around the waist is more sensual and thus a she's mine look, but that's about it. A lot of times putting an arm on the shoulders or waist is just random.

A. as with deleted and reformated, the data is still on the hard drive. its just that harddrive file system no longers has any reference to the file and would flag that area to be ok to be writen over. However some speciallized data recovery program could retrive that data was deleted. (assuming its physical location was not written over. Sanitized means that the full actual data has been physically removed from the hard drive and can not be retrieved.

What is the difference between a History major and History Education major?
Q. I was wondering what would the differences in studies be, and the career field differences thereof. Obviously History Education would apply to what it is named for, but History alone seems vague and possibly has a broad career field. Is there really any difference and which would be the better route?
Asked by csfoxbody91 - Mon Jun 20 12:58:46 2011 - History - 3 Answers - Comments
A. Depends on what you are looking for. If your love is of history for its sake, then you will learn more about history as a history major than as a History Education major. History Education will require to combine a mix of education courses with history courses. You'll learn less history and will have to take education classes, which I can tell you as a teacher myself, are a waste of time and incredibly boring to sit through. If your goal is to teach history, then I'd double major in both. The Ed. major will prepare you to be a history teacher, and the history major will ensure that you know your material well. On it's own a history major is a general liberal arts major. No direct career correlation.

What is the difference between buying coop and condo?
Q. Hi there , I'm looking to buy an apartment in Queens, NY. Majority of the places I like are coops. I've been getting a strong advise not to buy a coop, but I'd like to know if there is a difference between coop and condo. I think condos in Queens are seriously overpriced and cost as much as houses. Why would there be such a difference in prices? Why the demand on condos is so much higher? A. In a condo, you own the physical unit itself, and pay maintenance for common areas; with a coop, you own shares in a corporation and allow yourself to "rent" your unit. Your maintenance is much higher in a coop than a condo. In a condo, you can vote on issues; with a coop, you vote for a representative for the shareholders, there is also the agent's rep, and usually the sponsors' rep on the board. Sometimes when you sell a coop, there's a flip tax that has to be paid back to the coop board. We bought a coop on Long Island in 1990 - big mistake - the maintenance was high when we bought - $800 (you pay the underlying sponsor's mtg.; taxes; garbage; water; super's salary; managing agent's fee, etc. thru maintenance in a coop), and… [cont.]

What is the difference between permanent and washable markers?

A. "The permanent marker was invented in 1890. A permanent marker is a type of marker pen that is used to create permanent writing on an object. Generally the liquid is water resistant, contains the toxic chemical xylene or toluene, and is capable of writing on a variety of surfaces from paper to metal to stone" vs A non-permanent marker uses an erasable ink an ink that adheres to the writing surface without binding or being absorbed by it for temporary writing with overhead projectors, whiteboards, and the like. They may also be used by children when adults want to be able to clean up after them. The erasable ink does not contain the toxic chemical compounds xylene and/or toluene, unlike permanent markers.

What is the difference between non-interventionalism and isolationism as foreign policies?
Q. I've seen a lot of confusion about what the difference is, and if there's any difference at all. Can anybody please tell me what the difference is between a foreign policy of non-intervention and a foreign policy of isolation? In terms of trade, military actions, and diplomacy. Relevant examples would be welcome.

A. Non interventionism does not exclude trading, talking or even being friends with other nations. It simply means no allegiances and only war when another country attacks or threatens the US, no policing the world or nation building. Isolationism is non intervention plus economic protectionism to an extreme degree and not talk to other countries, even if they ask or request trying to avoid any involvement outside of the USA. Non interventionism is like a selfasured peaceful independent attitude, we're cool with everyone, just do our own thing no offense. Isolationism is more, leave us alone, nothing good can come from anything non American
