Adolescent psychology addresses the psychological issues and interests of adolescents.

Adolescence

Adolescence, the transitional stage of development between childhood and adulthood, represents the period of time during which a person experiences a variety of biological changes and encounters a number of emotional issues. The ages which are considered to be part of adolescence vary by culture, and ranges from preteens to 19 years. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), adolescence covers the period of life between 10 and 20 years of age. Adolescence is often divided by psychologists into three distinct phases: early, mid, and late adolescence.

Q. I learned this method a while ago: When i meet a teen that doesnt open up i give him a scenario to describe for me and i learn alot about his personality and life from the answers that he gives. method: theyr in a dessert, they have to describe the weather and whats going on. theres a box they have to describe the box to me. every time i use this, i figure out their personality and i am usually right 90% of the time. i want to know where i can find more of these cool psychology methods does any body know? websites, articles, books, or just something that you know

A. Be careful with assumptions. You can not be sure that you are interpreting the responses correctly. Even if a person says you are correct - they may be just trying to make you happy. That being said, you may be interested in reading up on "Projective personality tests" such as the Rorschach inkblot test, the thematic Apperception test, House, Tree, Person drawings etc... I googled the term on wikipedia to find you a good starting point for some reading and found a decent explanation in wikipedia. I am not sure I agree with the author's conclusion that the tests always lack reliability and validity but this is a good starting point for you. P.S., to "George Haups," don't be obnoxious :-)
